Hi, I’m Kimberley.
Growing up in Reading with my mum, dad and two sisters, it was always a goal of mine to work within finance. I was brought up to understand the importance of working hard and being sensible with money; a philosophy that has stayed with me throughout my life.
I have spent my adult life studying and working in finance. Graduating from Bournemouth University with a BA Hons in Accounting and Finance, I balanced work with study so that I could pay off my student loan as soon as I finished university.
I went onto working within audit and accountancy roles with some of the local firms before securing a position with Mars Chocolate UK. Here, I gained vast experience working as a global tax analyst, valuing pension funds and producing company accounts for pensions and healthcare plans across the business.
Since then I have gone on to raise two wonderful children and have now started my bookkeeping business – McCarthy Browne. My vision is to help small businesses who would otherwise struggle to manage their finances.
