About Us

A friendly and dedicated accountancy practice, working for you.

Hi, I’m Kimberley.

Hello, my name is Kimberley, and I have a passion for finance. Growing up in Reading with my parents and two sisters, I was raised with a strong work ethic and a respect for the value of money. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to work in the financial industry. I pursued my dreams by studying accounting and finance at Bournemouth University while working part-time to pay off my student loan.

After graduating, I gained valuable experience working in audit and accountancy roles with local firms before landing a position at Mars Chocolate UK. During my time at Mars Chocolate UK, I worked as a global tax analyst and was responsible for valuing pension funds and producing company accounts for pensions and healthcare plans across the business. This experience gave me the knowledge and expertise I needed to start my own bookkeeping business, McCarthy Browne.

As a mother of two, I understand the challenges that small businesses face when it comes to managing their finances. My goal is to provide affordable bookkeeping services to small businesses in Hampshire and Dorset, so they can focus on what they do best while leaving the financial details to me.

Stacey Matoshi and children

Hi, I’m Stacey.

I have worked in the finance environment for over 11 years. Having completed my Association of Accounting Technicians exams alongside The Institute of Accountants & Bookkeepers Payroll Qualifications. My career first started as a payroll administrator back in 2007 … before partnering up with my Sister, Kimberley.  Previously, I worked in a variety of roles including Payroll, Accounts Assistant, Management Accountant and a Financial Analyst.

My official title is Payroll and Compliance Director. However, I like to call it General Dogsbody!  Haha! As Kim often has me dealing with all sorts including HR, practice management and accounts work. So my duties are very varied, but flexible at the same time. The best part of my job is opening the payroll inbox on pay day and seeing no queries, which means I’ve successfully completed another month of payroll. That is satisfying!

I partnered up with Kim as we both wanted flexibility to work around our children. I have a relaxed approach to my work life balance, as I also home educate my two children. Mornings are normally taken up with ‘teaching time’ as my children call it. While the rest of the day is juggling work around the normal day to day and the kids ‘home ed’ clubs. Having the flexibility to work when I choose makes it all worthwhile!
